WTF Friday, 2/26/10

Because Intern Chris is trying to move to California in the middle of a snowstorm today, I’m posting some things that made Amanda and I say “WTF?” this week:

  • Former Special Court for Sierra Leone prosecutors David Crane and Alan White form consulting firm, get hired by Guinea’s military junta, investigate recent alleged atrocities, produce report detailing significantly fewer violations and lower level of government responsibility than contemporaneous UN and human rights org reports. 1. To be fair, I think that Senator Brownback was suggesting that basketball could save southern Sudan, not Darfur. Because the Dinka are really tall.

    You gotta love Congress!

  2. Yeah, you're right. I just couldn't resist the "save Darfur" play on words. But I've changed it in the post cause it was misleading. Thanks!

  3. Too bad you had to change it. I had already come up with a short but meaty list of really catchy team names. Love your blog by the way!
